The Stiff-Legged Barbell Deadlift is a strength movement that targets your hamstrings. Here's how to do it with clean form.

How to do the Stiff-Legged Barbell Deadlift

  1. Stand with feet hip-width apart, barbell over mid-foot, grip just outside your legs.
  2. Keep a slight bend in the knees and hinge at the hips, lowering the bar along your shins with a flat back.
  3. Push your hips back — not down — and feel the stretch across your hamstrings.
  4. Drive your hips forward to stand; don't hyperextend at the top.
